Arc mapping when your event taxonomy is politely chaotic

Arc mapping needs honest labels when your taxonomy is messy. We group events into families during a working session, then publish a "family assumptions" page every squad can edit. If someone renames a module mid-quarter, the map shows a break rather than lying.

We prefer wider time windows for sparse accounts instead of inventing precision. The UI shows confidence as a thin band — subtle, but visible enough for reviewers.

We do not promise causal inference. Arcs show timing and co-occurrence; your product leaders still own hypotheses.

When chaos is extreme, we recommend a parallel cleanup sprint with your data partners. The arc map can wait a week; credibility cannot.
